A jacket to count on Made to be a jacket to count on, the Echelon GTX’ rugged yet humble looks hide the fact it’s a very well-equipped jacket. Starting with its laminated GORE-TEX construction, premium, breathable waterproofing is checked off. Followed by CE-level 2 SEEFLEX protection at the elbows and shoulders and SEESOFT back protector that are part of the standard equipment. Topping that off with loads of practical pockets inside and out, on-demand ventilation all throughout the jacket, as well as visibility-improving reflection a plenty, and clever comfort features like the neoprene collar. FIT OF THIS PRODUCT Fit Regular fit The Regular fit is designed for comfortable wear, and it’s tailored to suit different body shapes and sizes. However, it is not considered loose. It falls around the body instead of conforming to the rider's physique. COMFORT Adjustability Adjustable elbow protection The adjustable elbow protection pockets allow you to tailor the CE-rated elbow protection to three different heights to perfectly fit your body and for optimal comfort while riding. External hang loop Long connection zipper Short connection zipper TIZIP® MasterSeal Zipper With its robust yet flexible design, the multifunctional TIZIP® MasterSeal is a waterproof, weather-resistant, and durable zipper used for the highest level of protection against the elements. Its waterproof and pressure-resistant properties are secured by the pressing together of the sealing lip across the interlocking elements. The TIZIP® MasterSeal is openedand closed with a precision metal or polymer metal slider. The zipper is also oil and gasoline resistant. Cleaning and storage: • We recommend using a fine brush, as well as a mild soap and water to clean the TIZIP® zippers. • Any dirt that is caught between the teeth or coils of the zippers can have a negative impact on the sealing lip and thereby limit their sealing performance. • The zippers should be stored completely dry (inside and outside), closed, clean, and without bending or folding. • If the zipper is not completely dry, it should be stored on a coat hanger with the zipper fully open. • As humid and high temperature conditions result in micro bacterial colonisation, the zipper should never be stored in a closed box. Avertum Tech-Air® Airbag - or a Tech5 airbag - if you purchase the garment one size bigger than your usual size. If you wish to wear a garment that is marked as ""Ready for Avertum Tech-Air® airbag system"", you must be sure that the garment can accommodate the expansion of the airbag and therefore we recommend following below fit equation: 1. Measure chest circumference and divide the measurement by two; 2. Measure garment flat on chest line; 3. If the difference between point 1 and point 2 is 12 centimeters or bigger the garment is suitable to wear on top of the airbag. Note: Please keep in mind that the garment should be purchased in the correct size in order for the shoulder and elbow protection to fit properly and best protect you in case of a crash. In order to create space for the expansion of the airbag, you can remove all separate layers (thermal liners, water proof liners) that can restrict the expansion of the airbag in the event of a crash. Remove the separate back protector in your garment, if any, when wearing the airbag (a back protector is included in the airbag) and adjust all adjustment straps on body to the widest position. SEEFLEX CE-level 2 Elbow Protectors Certified CE-Level 2 according to the new norm EN1621-1:2012 the SEEFLEX protector is the latest innovation from the in-house R&D department. The new norm also tests the impact levels in various temperature ranges. The SEEFLEX protectors easily surpass the new norm without sacrificing wearer comfort. SEEFLEX CE-level 2 Shoulder Protectors Certified CE-Level 2 according to the new norm EN1621-1:2012 the SEEFLEX protector is the latest innovation from the in-house R&D department. The new norm also tests the impact levels in various temperature ranges. The SEEFLEX protectors easily surpass the new norm without sacrificing wearer comfort. SEESOFT AIR CE Level 2 on back The SEESOFT Air is our extra ventilated CE-level 2 back protector insert that is designed to absorb variable impacts without compromising comfort, ventilation, or freedom of movement. Outer shell material 2L nylon 200D GORE-TEX fabric Twin-layer, waterproof, 200D nylon fabric manufactured by GORE-TEX. 2L nylon 400D GORE-TEX fabric This fabric is made of rugged 400 denier high-tenacity nylon that delivers superior abrasion and tear resistance. Laminating the GORE-TEX membrane to the nylon fabric creates a 100 percent waterproof, windproof and highly breathable outer shell that offers excellent wearer comfort. Neoprene Neoprene is a synthetic rubber useful for protective gear. It is abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, waterproof, somewhat stretchable, and buoyant. Visibility Laminated reflection on back Reflection panels ensure excellent visibility at all angles, allowing the wearer to be seen from all directions. To offer a more sophisticated look, the reflection panels are welded to the fabric. Laminated reflection at chest Reflection panels ensure excellent visibility at all angles, allowing the wearer to be seen from all directions.
